The shining jewel of AAPOR is its conferences. AAPOR Executive Council strives to select destinations that are accessible and will nicely accommodate the needs of the conference in terms of space and amenities. We have also over the years migrated to destinations that have excellent nearby restaurants, activities and culture. In 2019, AAPOR Executive Council reviewed and debated destinations for the 2021, 2022, and 2023 Conferences. A great many locations were considered and bids were garnered on multiple potential locations for each year.

The newest slate of candidates for AAPOR’s Executive Council will be announced to the membership on February 25. Voting will begin in early March.

Ever wonder how the nominees are selected? Here is how it works.

Our group is here for all members and conference-goers who are students, early-career professionals or newer to AAPOR. Leading up to the conference we’ll be offering several things to keep an eye out for: roommate matching to offset lodging costs, FAQ sheets to ask and answer questions, guides to the conference, invitations to social events, and much more! Stay tuned for membership spotlights and other great ways to learn about AAPOR in the coming months. In the meantime, think about becoming involved in AAPOR as a volunteer - it’s a great way to network and get to know your fellow AAPORites. If you have any questions or suggestions on programming, events, or info for students, early-career, or newer AAPORites feel free to submit inquiries using the FAQ sheet or email Justine Bulgar-Medina.
